Perfidy



Getting by with only your wits isn't supposed to be easy! You begin the game with Lockpicking. Each time you level up, you will gain Ranks in you chosen Trade. The highest Rank you can gain is determined by your Favored Passion. Once you have leveled up enough to raise your Will, you will earn a new Talent. Your party will be relying on you to help them avoid traps and make friends with creatures and people in the fantasy world. Keep your wits about you!

Talents



Lockpicking

Your character begins the game with the ability to pick locks on doors, chests, and other objects with a successful check.


Second-Story Work

Your character earns this ability at 4th Level. You can scale sheer surfaces, even those that others would find impossible to climb, with a successful Check.


Polyglot

Your character earns this ability at 6th Level. You learn three Expert Languages.


Full of Surprises

Your character earns this ability at 8th Level. When your group rolls Initiative, roll a d8 instead of a d6.


Silver Tongue

Your character earns this ability at 10th Level. Any person, beast, or monster will stop fighting if you ask them to and you roll above a 19 on a Beauty Check.

Assassin


Rank Talent
Investigator You can set traps. While you are in the Near Zone, your allies can retreat without rolling to safety.
Hunter You can deal extra damage (roll Will again) by stabbing a foe in the back.
Agent You can deal extra damage by hitting someone who doesn't see you yet, as well as backstabs.
Ghost You can craft potions with Common ingredients. Roll another Will die when you hit someone that hasn't seen you yet.
Spy You can craft potions with Uncommon ingredients. Roll another Will die when you hit someone that hasn't seen you yet.
Despot When you hit someone that hasn't seen you yet, add your level to the total damage.


Bard


Rank Talent
Understudy When you and your party Rest for more than 2 Rounds, roll your Will and add the result to everyone's Health.
Singer When you Rest for more than 2 Rounds, everyone heals 1 Health and Armor per Round.
Troubador You can cast a number of Spells equal to half your level rounded down.
Innovator You can magically camouflage yourself in one Round.
Virtuoso You can speak four Expert Languages.
Maestro When you Rest for more than 2 Rounds, everyone heals 1d8 Health and Armor per Round.


Burglar


Rank Talent
Fool You can disarm traps. You can remain hidden while holding a Candle. You can conceal the traces you and your companions leave wherever you travel.
Pilferer You can remain hidden even while holding a Torch for light. While you are picking locks, you can roll twice and take the higher result.
Trickster When you Retreat, you don't need to roll. While you are in the Near Zone, your allies can retreat without rolling to safety.
Strider When you roll a Critical Parry, you can trip your opponent. If you so choose, or if the opponent is not something that can be tripped, you can choose a trick to play on them, such as throwing sand in their eyes.
Rogue While you are picking locks, you can roll three times and take the higher result.
Bravo You can remain hidden even while holding a Lantern for light. While you are picking locks, you can roll three times and take the highest result.


Mafioso


Rank Talent
Chump Your Companions add a +1 bonus to their Health while in your service.
Cardsharp If you don't speak a language, but a member of your party does, you can add your Beauty bonus to their roll.
Wiseguy When you're rolling dice in a negotiation with any creature, you can add the Proportion bonus of the character in your party with the highest Proportion.
Soldato Your companions add a +1 bonus to their Health and Armor while in your service. You can speak five Expert Languages.
Capo When you haggle with somebody over the price of a piece of equipment, roll a d100 and subtract the result from the original price. You can only pay less than that.
Consigliere Your companions add a +2 bonus to their Health and Armor while in your service. When you Carouse, you pay as low a price as possible for the highest quality available, even in the smallest village.
